Voiceglo Long Distance Love Captures the Imaginations of Millions

Voiceglo, a company founded by Theglobe.com, facilitates local and long-distance calls via the Internet. The company came to Peppercommotions to help position it as the preferred long-distance channel for young people and frequent international callers.

Peppercommotions determined that Valentine's Day would be the optimal time to unveil the service to its desired younger audience, and decided to create events at Internet cafes in New York, Los Angeles and Miami at which consumers could try the service for free. At these events, Peppercommotions would increase awareness of Voiceglo as well as sign up new customers, collect consumer information and create opportunities for publicity.

Prior to launch, Peppercommotions conducted a Valentine's Day-related survey about long-distance relationships and used the results as a key part of an audio news release, MAT release and aggressive media outreach. We also hired "Cupids" to give away red silk roses and invitations for the Internet café events and draw media attention, particularly during NBC's Today show.

As a result of Peppercommotions' efforts, Voiceglo models were interviewed live on the Today show plaza. The audio news release was heard by more than 9 million listeners nationally. Voiceglo signed on thousands of customers during the launch events and Web site traffic increased by 70,000 one day after the campaign launched.
