The Doctors Company (TDC), the nation's largest physician-owned medical-liability insurer, hired Peppercom to help it protect the interests of both doctors and patients during the peak of the medical malpractice crisis, which came to a boiling point with multiple doctor walkouts in 2003.

Peppercom's began by positioning TDC as the industry authority on both tort reform and a knowledgeable, dependable provider of physician malpractice insurance. Next, Peppercom worked closely with TDC's CEO, Dr. Richard Anderson, to develop his point of view as an expert on the burgeoning malpractice crisis. Positioning in place, we next launched a media tour in New York City and Washington, D.C. to reach the nation’s most influential media. The final piece was placing Op-Ed letters in select newspapers across the country.

The stellar results included a profile piece in The Wall Street Journal on Dr. Anderson. One year out from the campaign, TDC had reached more than 6 million people through the media and had beaten its top three competitors with 46 percent more placements.
