Panasonic Capturing An Historic Baseball Moment To Highlight Superior Technology

Panasonic, a world leader in developing and manufacturing consumer electronics devices, engaged Peppercom to help successfully launch Panasonic's new line of DVD recorders and differentiate it from all other DVD-recording formats clogging the market.

Peppercom developed a theme with Major League Baseball based on how teams use Panasonic's DVD-RAM technology to review and improve pitching and hitting. We created a partnership with baseball legend Roger Clemens and hosted 100 reporters at a press conference at the ESPN Zone restaurant in New York City. The conference was held on the eve of Clemens' 300th victory. We also loaned each reporter his or her own recorder so each could experience the technology by recording Clemens' historic 300th win.

Top-tier media coverage included Newsweek, Time, The New York Times, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, Maxim, and Men's Health. Broadcast coverage included multiple NBC and ABC affiliates.
