Hands-On Mobile World Poker Tour II Texas Hold 'Em Poker and a Pedi

Hands-On Mobile (HOM) hired Peppercommotions to launch its new mobile game-World Poker Tour II Texas Hold 'Em. HOM targeted women with this new game, and Peppercom was charged with creating an event that would attract editors from the top women's publications in New York.

Utilizing Peppercom's London's experience in promoting World Poker Tour, Peppercommotions event expertise and Peppercom's media relations skills, we developed an event that combined a favorite activity for most women with something new: Poker and a Pedi.

Held on the rooftop of an exclusive spa in Manhattan, female editors indulged in luxurious spa treatments, including reflexology and pedicures, as they tested their poker skills on HOM handheld games. Guests were also treated to a live poker game with World Poker champion Clonie Gowen, who dished out insider poker tips and challenged the editors to a round.

More than 40 editors and reporters attended the event, increasing HOM's brand awareness with New York consumer media and resulting in media coverage of the new product. Media at the event included Newsweek, People, InStyle, Marie Claire, Redbook, Self, and Details.
