Sara Whitman

Sara Whitman has been with Peppercom since 1999 and is currently a senior director. She is responsible for leading a mix of corporate and consumer accounts such as Yahoo!, Steelcase and Valspar. In addition to strategic account management, Sara participates in new business initiatives, media training, and crisis management.

Her overall responsibilities extend beyond account management to staff management for the New York office and agency recruiting. Additionally, Sara heads various internal communications activities including Peppercom State University, an internal training program that teaches employees to strategically, creatively, and consistently execute programs that deliver bottom-line results.

Over the course of her career, Sara has worked on several branding, re-branding and thought leadership programs for a range of public and privately-held organizations. Her account experience includes ITT Corporation, Panasonic, General Motors, Siemens Foundation and Hollander Home Fashions among others.

Sara is a graduate of Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where she received her M.A. in Public Relations. Prior to pursuing her public relations degree, Sara was a pr assistant at the Westchester County Public Library System, where she helped coordinate public relations activities for the county's 30+ libraries and helped coordinate the annual Book and Author luncheon.

Sara also holds a B.A. in Literature & Communications from Pace University. She currently resides in Westchester County with her husband and three children.
