Jackie Kolek

Jackie Kolek brings over a dozen years of experience to her role as partner and senior director.  She provides overall strategic direction and account management for several of the firm's key clients, including Tyco Flow Control, Cengage Learning, Honeywell Specialty Materials, Ernst & Young and Genworth Financial.  Her expertise includes positioning/repositioning, strategic media relations, crisis communications, crisis preparedness training, executive positioning/thought leadership and media training. Additionally, Jackie leads the firm’s social media consulting offering, PepperDigital.  In this role, Jackie helps clients to engage in the social media dialogue to build brand awareness and enhance their brand reputation. 

Jackie is frequently quoted in the public relations trade media and has published articles on reputation and marketing topics in publications including The Firm Voice, PR Strategist, PR Week and Investment News. She has also served as a guest lecturer at industry events such as the NY Women in Communications "Night at the Roundtables" and the ANA workshop series and taught a media relations course as GE's famed Crotonville training center.

Over the course of her tenure at Peppercom, Jackie has generated deep industry expertise in industries including consumer products, financial services, industrial/manufacturing and clean tech.  She specializes in working with companies that have complex or highly-technical products and services and to package them into compelling story ideas that drive media results and enhance business outcomes.  Jackie has also worked with multiple clients to tell their financial and business story and build visibility and awareness on Wall Street, including initial public offerings on both the NYSE and NASDAQ.  Most recently, Jackie worked with several clients to manage communications and reputation issues through the economic crisis. 

Jackie’s additional agency experience includes increasingly senior positions at Integrated Corporate Relations, GCI Group, Manning Selvage & Lee and Cohn & Wolfe.  Her roster of client experience encompasses financial services, professional services, technology, renewable energy and consumer products companies such as Deloitte & Touche, VF Corporation, Broadview International, Eastman Chemical Company, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Metabolix and US BioEnergy. 

Outside of work, Jackie enjoys running, sea kayaking, and spending time with her husband and two children.  She lives in Westport, CT and serves on the Marketing Committee for the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk, CT.  Jackie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Delaware in 1994.
